Parsons Behle & Latimer (Parsons) is pleased to announce that litigation associate Amanda P. Adomako has been elected to the board of the Utah Minority Bar Association (UMBA) and will serve as the organization’s treasurer for the 2026-2027 term.
For Adomako, the opportunity represents both a chance to contribute to Utah’s legal community and to give back to an organization that has helped shape her own professional experience.
“I wanted to become more involved with UMBA because I believe our legal community benefits from having a range of perspectives and voices at the table,” Adomako said. “I saw an opportunity to contribute my time and skills while learning from other UMBA members and leaders who played an integral role in welcoming me to the Utah legal community.”
She added that board service provides an opportunity to support an organization that has played a meaningful role in her career development.
As treasurer, Adomako will oversee UMBA’s budget, track income and expenses, maintain financial records and provide the board with information about the organization’s financial position. Her focus, she said, will be on keeping UMBA’s finances organized and transparent so its leadership can make informed decisions about the organization’s resources.
During her term, Adomako hopes to help UMBA strengthen engagement among current members while building stronger connections with the next generation of Utah attorneys.
“Over the next year, UMBA will be focusing on strengthening member engagement and connecting with law students in our community,” she said. “I would like to see us find more ways to connect with law students and show them that Utah offers a vibrant legal community where they can build meaningful, rewarding careers.”
Adomako also sees an opportunity for UMBA to continue expanding the value it provides to attorneys throughout their careers.
“My goal would be for members to see UMBA as a valuable resource, not just for networking, but also for professional development, mentorship and community,” she said.
That emphasis on service and connection reflects an approach Adomako has developed throughout her legal career. Before joining Parsons, she mentored pre-law students, served as a student adviser to first-year law students and helped connect law students with legal professionals throughout Utah while earning her J.D. from Brigham Young University’s J. Reuben Clark Law School.
Based in Parsons’ Salt Lake City office, Adomako is a member of the firm’s litigation practice. She assists clients with complex commercial litigation, business bankruptcy and corporate restructuring, antitrust and competition matters, and product liability risk management.
Adomako brings a proactive approach to her client work, with an emphasis on anticipating clients’ needs and identifying potential issues before they develop. Her experience before and during law school — including work with Legal Aid in Ghana, service in BYU Law’s immigration clinic and an externship with the Utah Attorney General’s Office — also informs the perspective she brings to her practice and professional service.
Parsons congratulates Adomako on her election to UMBA’s board and her appointment as treasurer and looks forward to her contributions to the organization and Utah’s legal community during the 2026-2027 term.
