Parsons Behle & Latimer (Parsons) congratulates Kate Wheeler Peterson, an associate in the firm’s Idaho Falls office, who has been named the 2026 Outstanding Young Lawyer by the Idaho State Bar. She was honored along with other award recipients at the Idaho Bar’s annual meeting in Boise on June 17.
Peterson is a member of the firm’s litigation, trials & appeals department and focuses her law practice on business, real estate and bankruptcy, primarily in the agriculture and construction industries. She earned her J.D. degree from the Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law and a bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University.
Actively involved in the legal and business communities of eastern Idaho, Peterson is a board member of Rock Inn of Court and Portneuf Inn of Court. She also belongs to Idaho Women Lawyers and the Rotary Club of Pocatello.
“Receiving this award is deeply meaningful to me. It is a privilege to serve my clients and to be a member of the legal community,” says Peterson.
The Idaho State Bar, the state agency that regulates the legal profession in Idaho, presents awards annually to members who demonstrate exemplary leadership, professionalism and commitment to the legal profession and to the public.
