Parsons Behle & Latimer (Parsons) is proud to announce that it has been chosen by the Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity (GOEO) as one of “Utah's 100 Companies Championing Women 2025” as part of Inspire in Utah. 100 Companies Championing Women focuses on recognizing and highlighting the stories of 100 Utah companies and organizations that offer family-friendly policies and practices, as well as women-specific initiatives known to impact the recruiting, hiring, retaining, and advancing women employees, managers, and leaders. For 2025, seven companies, including Parsons, have been chosen so far. Companies were judged on flexible work hours and location, pay equity efforts, diversification of leaders and paid family leave.

Chief People Officer Nicole Farrell says, “The Parsons leadership team works hard to ensure that women at the firm, in all positions, are recognized, championed and promoted for their excellence. We also strive to create an environment where all team members can thrive and do their best work. We are thrilled to be recognized for these efforts.”

GOEO states that through sharing the success stories of these 100 companies, the initiative aspires to create a positive ripple effect, encouraging more businesses in Utah to adopt inclusive and progressive policies that benefit both their employees and the overall business ecosystem.

Parsons offers a range of flexible and family-friendly arrangements including flexible working hours, several associate attorney billing paths to accommodate needs outside the firm, remote work options and generous parental leave. Parsons has seen an increase in diversity in mid- and senior-level leadership roles, including on the board of directors, among managing shareholder attorneys and department heads and among administrative managers.

Board of Directors member Liz M. Mellem says, “As a board member and former office managing shareholder at Parsons, I can attest to the importance Parsons applies to providing an equitable professional environment for our women attorneys. As a board, we strive to be purposeful and practical in creating policies and maintaining a culture that will allow women attorneys to thrive and succeed.”
