Courtney is dedicated to guiding clients through all stages of litigation and finding effective solutions to resolve disputes. She is a member of the firm’s litigation practice team where she focuses on civil litigation in various areas, including representing clients in land use and development, construction, navigating municipal regulations and application processes, administrative law, easement disputes and other general business litigation.

Biography

Courtney Stallings is an associate attorney in the Rexburg office of Parsons Behle & Latimer. Her practice is focused on real estate litigation and related land use and corporate matters.

Prior to joining Parsons, Courtney served as the staff attorney to the Honorable Steven W. Boyce, District Judge for Fremont, Madison and Teton Counties in the Seventh Judicial District of Idaho, assisting the court on complex civil litigation dockets and criminal matters including high-profile, complex homicide trials.

Courtney received her Juris Doctor from the University of Idaho College of Law where she piloted the CASA Program, training law students to become guardians ad litem and advocate for children in the foster care system. Additionally, she interned for the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney’s office and externed for the Honorable Candy W. Dale, Magistrate Judge of the United States District Court for the District of Idaho. Each experience has impacted how Courtney approaches the cases she handles.

Outside of the office, she enjoys escaping to the mountains, finding local arts experiences, and tending to her beehive and flower garden.

Negotiated Complete Settlement of Six-Figure Dispute

Successfully negotiated a complete settlement of a six-figure dispute between clients on agricultural contracts to dismiss the case entirely short of trial.

Obtained Payment for Client on Delinquent Commodities Contract

Obtained the complete and full payment for client on a delinquent commodities contract to prevent the need for formal litigation on a PACA claim.
