Parsons Behle & Latimer is seeking a Litigation associate with 4-7 years of experience to join our Park City, Utah office, to assist our clients with resolving a broad range of disputes. Our litigation team provides clients with an advantage analyzing claims and defenses, then determining a strategy. As a member of this team, you would have the opportunity to provide litigation services for local, regional, and national companies and would handle a variety of cases for other clients with unique litigation needs.

Parsons Behle & Latimer is seeking a Cybersecurity / Privacy attorney with 3+ years of experience to join our Salt Lake City, Utah office in assisting our clients in all aspects of privacy and cybersecurity, including strategic counseling, compliance, incident response and defense of regulatory actions, data breach investigations and cyberattacks.

The position involves data breach prevention and remediation, training and reviewing safeguards designed to meet clients’ unique needs and circumstances. The successful applicant should be able to evaluate clients’ specific obligations to develop procedures designed to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and accessibility of data and to implement strategic response plans to identify, evaluate, and respond to data security incidents. 

The applicant should have experience with information security and privacy using sound judgment to provide strategic legal counsel to business leaders throughout the organization and to be a resource for our clients and colleagues.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  1. Hands on experience advising clients on state and federal privacy laws and conducting deal diligence in financing and commercial transactions
  2. Working familiarity with data driven technologies, including AI/ML and biometrics and related global regulatory frameworks

This position entails representing banks, non-banks, lenders, agents, borrowers, private equity sponsors, and public/private companies in a broad range of domestic and cross-border/international finance transactions, including senior secured, mezzanine and subordinated debt transactions; structured finance; debt facilities for companies and lenders; acquisition finance; loan workouts and restructurings; lending transactions and other related transactions.

Experience with asset-based lending, warehouse financing and other leveraged finance (including in the context of mergers and acquisitions and/or experience or an interest in blockchain and cryptocurrency financing transactions) is beneficial, although candidates with other debt finance experience will be considered.

Parsons Behle & Latimer has an opening for a full-time litigation paralegal in our Salt Lake City, Utah office. The position will serve in a variety of functions including litigation, natural resources, and as a backup corporate paralegal. Real property experience or a strong desire to learn real property is required.

This position requires a paralegal certificate and/or a bachelor’s degree. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years’ experience as a litigation paralegal and extensive experience in the areas of case management, document control and the use of litigation software, such as iPro, Relativity, etc.

Must be able to effectively collaborate with team members and clients, have strong communication and organizational skills, a high level of professionalism, and an ability to multi-task. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite is required.
