Parsons Behle & Latimer (Parsons) is proud to congratulate attorney Alex N. Vandiver on being named to Utah Business Magazine’s 2026 “Women to Watch” list, recognizing emerging leaders who are making a meaningful impact in Utah’s business and professional communities.

An associate in Parsons’ litigation practice, Vandiver focuses on commercial, civil and environmental litigation. Since joining the firm in 2020, she has quickly distinguished herself as a talented advocate, trusted advisor and committed community leader.

In addition to her legal practice, Vandiver has built an impressive record of public service and professional leadership. She currently serves as president of the Utah State Bar’s Young Lawyers Division, where she has helped expand educational programming, volunteer initiatives and networking opportunities for young attorneys across the state. Under her leadership, programs such as “Wills for Heroes” have continued to grow and provide pro bono estate-planning services for first responders and other community members. Through her leadership, the division has strengthened connections among young attorneys and created more opportunities for members to participate in the legal community.

Vandiver’s dedication to service has been a hallmark of her career. While attending the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, she served as a Pro Bono Initiative Fellow, helping manage legal clinics that provided free legal assistance to underserved communities throughout the Salt Lake Valley. She has continued that commitment at Parsons through extensive volunteer work with Utah State Bar pro bono programs and through her leadership of the firm’s Attorneys of Color Affinity Group, which has helped raise significant funds for community organizations serving underrepresented populations.

Her contributions to the legal profession and broader community have earned statewide and national recognition. In 2023, Vandiver received the Utah State Bar’s “Pro Bono Publico Young Lawyer of the Year” award. In 2024, she was honored by the Federal Bar Association with its Pro Bono Award for her advocacy in a complex civil rights matter. Most recently, she was selected as a Diversity Scholar for the National Conference of Bar Presidents for the 2025-26 class.

“Alex exemplifies the leadership, integrity and commitment to service that define our firm,” says Shawn C. Ferrin, Parsons Behle & Latimer CEO and chairperson. “She is an exceptional attorney and an outstanding representative of the legal profession and our community. We are incredibly proud to see her recognized by Utah Business for this well-deserved achievement.”

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Vandiver remains deeply committed to mentoring young attorneys and fostering meaningful connections within the legal community. Colleagues across the firm and throughout Utah’s legal profession recognize her as a collaborative leader who is passionate about creating opportunities for others to succeed.

Please join Parsons in congratulating Alex on this outstanding honor and well-earned recognition.
