Biography
Samuel D. Hatch practices primarily in the areas of business formation, business and commercial transactions, real estate, corporate governance and securities law. He is a member of Parsons Behle & Latimer’s corporate practice team and an associate attorney at the firm. His experience also includes providing legal representation in matters related to mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance and a wide variety of commercial contracts.
Mr. Hatch graduated with honors from the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah where he served as executive text editor of the Utah Law Review. During law school, Mr. Hatch interned at the United States Securities and Exchange Commission where he worked in the Division of Enforcement and assisted with investigations of federal securities laws violations. Mr. Hatch had the opportunity to serve as a judicial extern for the Honorable David N. Mortensen of the Utah Court of Appeals.
Prior to law school, he worked in the in-house legal department of an international intellectual property services company where he supported the general counsel in many corporate legal matters.
Mr. Hatch is a native of southeast Idaho and enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and children.

Represented Santander in $650M Debt and Tax Equity Financings for rPlus Energies’ Blacks Creek Energy Center
Parsons Behle & Latimer served as local counsel to the lender and tax equity investor for the debt and tax equity financings on rPlus Energies 400 MWac/520 MWdc Blacks Creek Energy Center in Ada County, Idaho, which will supply electricity to Idaho’s power grid. The Parsons’ attorney team advised on real estate, permitting, and energy regulatory matters.
